Brown Eyed Soul launches Japan debut

Four-member R&B group Brown Eyed Soul will make their first appearance in Japan next month, a decade after their local debut in 2003.

The quartet has confirmed the release of their Japanese debut album on Oct. 16 and pre-released two Japanese tunes ㅡ “I’ll Move” and “Love Ballad” ㅡ on Wednesday, the group’s agency Santa Music said in a press release on Thursday.

The group signed a contract with major Japanese agency Avex Entertainment last year. The two tunes, originally from the group’s third album in 2010 which was much loved in Korea, are the first releases.

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut last week, the veteran soul group is also planning various projects for local fans, Santa Music added.

Brown Eyed Soul ㅡ consisting of famed vocalists Naul, Sung-hoon, Young-joon and Jung-yup ㅡ has been considered one of the strongest vocalists in the local music scene. Their albums have spawned numerous hits such as “With Chocolate,” “My Story,” “Love Ballad” and “Did We Really Love.”
