Huge New Art Gallery Opens in Central Seoul

As an addition to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Provice, a vast new gallery in central Seoul is set to open on Wednesday.

The building, designed by architect Min Hyun-joon, stands three floors above and three floors below ground near Gwanghwamun and has eight exhibition halls.

The project took four years and cost W246 billion. The building beautifully integrates tradition and modernity.

Advance bookings are required from Wednesday until the end of November. A maximum of 250 tickets can be booked online each hour by visitingwww.mmca.go.kr, and the same number of tickets will be available on-site at the gallery. For more information, call (02)3701-9500.
