toba in sumatra

I headed to toba lake in sumatra via kijang taxi (around 75,000rp-90,000rp/person) from medan airport. the all road through several provinces was bumpy and narrow two-lane. it made a rough ride. I arrived in PARAPAT(boat pier to tuk tuk of samosir island) around 3:30pm, having set-off around 6 am, an eleven hour day. Bunaken in Manado

Early in the morning I went on a plane (by batavia air) to Manado which is about 3hr away from Jakarta. and took a taxi (around 50-70,000rp) to port.it took 30 minutes and there are two choices to bunakenisland. you book a boat(one way -around 300,000rp/boat) or ride a public boat (50,000rp)but the latter is not easy. public boat will run once a day(around 3pm) to bunaken. if you arrive in the morning or late afternoon at port. Make reservations for boat in advance to hotel.
